Home > Ids > IDS - FAQ's

IDS is "Interactive Design Studios". We are a WebBased Think Tank. Our people are all over the planet. Our WebTalent is in Victoria BC Canada. Our WebSite is posted on a server both in Victoria and in Los Angeles.

IDS began with a mission of "reinventing technology for the developing world". Since the "Dot-Com" collapse and then 9-11, our incoming contributions have decreased quite a bit and so we are transforming IDS into a profit center so as to insure a proper cash flow for our projects. Allowing people to contribute per-project is part of this new structure.

Having experienced a traditional research and development environment, we wanted to create a company model which solved the problems found in those traditional structures.

We begin all projects with a list of goals.

  • Originators own their ideas
  • Structured functions separated from creative functions.

  • Originators own their ideas
  • Legal, Accounting, Engineering and other such structured functions are jobbed out.

This is an on-going process that began in April of 1985.

With the launch of this WebSite, we are securing the funding needed for IDS-Development.

While idea-generating in IDS-Research, we did not want to risk short-curcuiting that process by wearing another hat and becoming marketing minded. The war-chest of ideas is well filled now and it is time to launch IDS-Development for this commercialization process.

Soon. We are still working out the security details for the idea submission and group interaction process.
