Home > Scroller > ScrollerWheel - Short Model

Here is an easy way to make a short 4-belt model of a scroller wheel. Each of the five rollers consists of an alternating stack of large and small washers layered together.

Endless belts are woven over and around the small washers during assembly:

  • larger wafer/washer x5 (per roller)
  • small wafer/washer x4 (per roller)
  • bolts x5
  • bands x4

Each stack of wafers must be joined together to become a one-piece grooved roller.

Note: The side walls of the grooves may add a small amount of rubbing friction to this device if no further band centering is used, yet not enough to require lubrication.
